Cultivating your Inner Sanctuary through Creativity
Dear Friends,
I’m delighted to invite you to a special day of connection, creativity, and self-discovery in our upcoming workshop: Cultivating Your Inner Sanctuary through Creativity.
In this intimate gathering, we’ll explore the ancient, grounding art of weaving—a practice that has connected people and told stories for centuries. Whether you’re new to weaving or revisiting a skill long forgotten, this workshop is about more than crafting; it’s a pathway to inner calm and connection.
Our day begins with a moment of reflection as we share our intentions and align with the natural beauty of the landscape around us. Through guided meditation, gentle breath work, and stillness, we’ll connect deeply to our inner landscape—a sanctuary always available to us for rest and renewal.
From this grounded space, we’ll immerse ourselves in calm and colour, learning the fundamentals of weaving and creating a unique piece of art. All materials are provided, but you’re welcome to bring any special or meaningful items to incorporate into your creation, making it truly yours.
As we work, you may find yourself sharing stories, enjoying the silence, or simply embracing the joy of making. By the end of the day, you’ll leave not just with a beautiful handmade piece but with a deeper sense of self-compassion, balance, and possibility.

My ‘Cultivating Creativity’ workshops blend together the tactile beauty of the weaving process with the intuition and power of the making. We bring together warp and weft, integrating the various aspects of ourselves and rebuilding our stories and lives. When we come together in community, we witness each other, bringing together our shared (her)stories.
Weaving is perfect for those with no artistic background yet are curious about how creativity can help us feel more ease and flow in their daily lives. It allows us to tune into the energy within our own bodies or the transits that play out in our lives.
Mindful weaving combines some of the basic principles of meditation – focusing on the breath, noticing the sensations in the body, turning the attention inwards – with simple repetitive moving wool back and forward through the warp of a weaving frame (you’ll learn all about this). We weave the pieces of ourselves together, finishing our pieces to represent the whole of who we are now.
Weaving also tunes us into that creative being we all have inside. Here, we can open our imagination to all sorts of possibilities, helping us to unstick ourselves from limited thinking. In my own experience, it has been such an effective tool in managing stress and overwhelm on a regular basis and I love sharing this with you.
