Draw Something that Feels Good
A simple creative self-care exercise to guides you through drawing something that feels good.
We live in a time of incredible change, being called to be a part of something completely unknown. How do we root ourselves in compassion and open our hearts to what lies ahead?
I am Lucy Hyland and I have worked in the wellness industry for over 2 decades. Yet I felt, more and more, that these older models of health just didn’t align with our potentials for life and wellbeing. I could never have imagined that it was my intrigue into the creative process that would allow me to develop my own sense of self-awareness and self-care. It would provide a pathway to seeing beyond our current constrained way of being.
There is nothing more satisfying than travelling along the path of self-discovery with women who care as deeply as I do. Whether it be the work that we do, the relationships we have, or the vision we are creating, I walk alongside these brave hearts so that love and compassion can take its rightful place at the centre of our lives.
The path involves honesty, integrity and accountability. There are times when it seems easier to shut down our hearts as we face adversity and challenges. Yet this is the work: to ground in our knowing of ourselves, to open our hearts, and to imagine a way of forward that honours the interconnected web of people and places that make our lives.
Let’s traverse this terrain together and support each other to reach for far greater heights.
Over the years I developed a curiosity around how we love and care for ourselves. With A Diploma in Nutritional Therapy, a Degree in Applied Art and Psychology, and a Masters in Art Therapy, I have trained myself to go deep into wellbeing and creativity.
My vision is to move this care into our communities and our world. I interweave my skills with tools, such as embodied wisdom, eco arts and human design, to recognise that there is always so much more to the stories we tell and the journeys we take. This is where the magic lies.
