Journey to Wellbeing: The journey from Nutrition and Food to Art and Wellbeing
I’m Lucy Hyland and I have my own story. We all have a story that has brought us to where we are today. I’m guessing you have your own story too.
You might have reached a point in your story when you know its time to stop. You know you need to change and you know you need a little support. I found myself there over 10 years ago. And I haven’t looked back since.
In my story, I had just come out of my second major cancer operation and I was 30 years old. I knew something had to change and so I started a journey that continues today. Firstly, I explored the world of nutrition to become a qualified nutritional therapist and learnt to cook with my chef’s qualification. Secondly, I knew I wanted to dig deeper into self awareness and self connection. I tapped into my own creativity, doing a Degree in Art and an MA in Art Therapy.
All my experiences and learning curves have allowed me to develop my own perspective on self care and take me on my own journey to wellbeing. I couldn’t help but question, delve and dive deeper into what self care and wellbeing really mean to us. I’ve created a world where creativity and food help me create a foundation to my life that holds me every day.
These questions have helped me to develop a way of working that allows me to express my deep love and zest for life. If you, like me, are searching then don’t give up. My work is dives deep: asking questions, gently challenging and steadily supporting you to find your own journey to self care and an ongoing sense of wellbeing.
