Weaving and Meditation

I’ve just launched a new Mindful Weaving workshop!

This workshop brings together two beautiful elements of creative self-care, and I call it meditation weaving. I’ll be teaching some basic weaving techniques so that you can learn new creative skills. Alongside this I’ll be incorporating meditation and mindful practises to connect to self.

The creative process can be such a lovely tool to help us slow down, tune in and connect to our flow. Weaving is a tactile experience where we can allow the softness of the wool to help us build compassion towards ourselves. The constant movement of the wools and thread as we weave calm down the nervous system and distract our busy minds from the constant stories. The meditation allows us to open up more to the present moment, to see what riches are present in the here and now.
